The Two Biggest Reasons Why Most People Will Never Make a Full-Time Income Online…

Monday, March 24th, 2008

I know this is slightly off topic, but I’ve just finished reading Confessions of a Lazy Super Affiliate and I thought I’d share some thoughts with those readers who might have their own websites or be considering starting up their own online business.

It all starts when some well-meaning (yet misdirected) person encourages a budding internet entrepreneur to “start in a niche they know alot about”, or base their business around “something they’re passionate about”…

As horrible as it may sound – they’ve unknowingly sent the hopeful entrepreneur down a path of false expectations, poor results and eventually – failure. In fact, the myth of “do what you love and the money will follow” has been responsible for more failure than likely any other influence – perhaps even more so than laziness or a lack of perseverance.

Because the simple truth of the matter is that the only way you’re going to make real money on the net is if your business is based around two crucial things:

1) Large Demand

2) Buyers

In other words – you aren’t going to get rich selling a $15 ebook about growing square watermelons – even though that might be a great passion of yours.

The demand just isn’t there. Maybe there’s a few searches a day on Google for the topic, and perhaps there’s some interest in the online “gardening enthusiast” communities – but you’d be hard-pressed to make even a few hundred dollars a month from ebook sales.

Similarly, you also aren’t going to have a particularly easy time getting rich by building websites about some seemingly “popular” topics like humor, jokes, funny pictures and so on. And while there are a few ways to “monetize” your site (with AdSense, CPA Offers, CPM Banners, etc.), it takes literally millions of website visitors to make even just a few thousand dollars in markets like that.

The demand is huge – but the visitor value is extremely low…

Instead, if you want to make it big online – pulling down an impressive six-figure income – you need to tap into markets with tons of demand, where the majority of the visitors are valuable.

You need to capture tons of traffic that wants to buy something. If you take this approach, you’d practically have to hijack your own order links (or affiliate links) not to make a sizeable income.

In fact – did you know that some affiliates make several thousand dollars daily just by promoting a single product in hot markets? (Just imagine what the merchant is making…)

In some markets there’s actually so much demand that the vendors are quite literally selling over a thousand units – or more – per day. Digital products, with practically zero overhead/delivery cost.

But it all comes back to tapping into valuable demand. In most cases, it takes no extra effort or “skill” to market to a valuable market than it does to struggle along with something you’re passionate about.

These two factors – demand and buying traffic – are what seperate the “wannabe” marketers from the millionaires. Because there’s no real secret – you just need to sell what thousands of people are already buying.

The ball is now officially in your court. Are you tapping into markets with massive, valuable demand?

Or are you struggling to simply make a few dollars occasionally with a business that’s based on your own passionate interests?

Women and Tattoos

Saturday, March 15th, 2008

What greater way to express yourself in the coolest way possible than through body art and tattoos?

Did you know that women are now responsible for 65% of all tattoos.

women usually prefer more delicate tattoos such as flowers, butterflies, fairies and generally favor more colorful, fun, and intricate tattoo designs. Which is probably the most sellable among women especially the younger ones. You can also get a tattoo that is in the form of a text, some letters, Chinese or Japanese calligraphy, or you can get all sorts of shapes and sizes.

While they can be reproduced on skin in smaller versions, dragon tattoos are much more impressive-looking when done in large sizes, which heal much slower than smaller tattoos. While there are many thousands of girl tattoos to chose from, many women later in life come to understand what made them decide on the design they finally did. While men tattoos are often chosen on the day, girl tattoos are usually thought over long and hard, perhaps for months.

Whether she wants it to be small, cute and inconspicuous and sexy, or big and obvious to prove a point or make a statement, is totally up to her because tattoos also spell freedom. Where the girl tattoos are worn will also say something about her personality. When it comes to tattoos, don’t cut any corners when it comes to cost and never ask the artist to lower his/her price. Unlike before when tattoos on women were looked down upon by society, it is now something women can be proud of.

Today, one of the most common body accessories that differentiate the “cool” woman from the plain Janes are the cute little tattoos that she proudly wears on her skin. Even today, celebrity tattoos have gone mainstream and the culture of celebrity tattoos covers acting, sport, music, models and people who are famous for being famous. This is another strong indication that celebrity tattoos are well and truly part of mainstream culture. The traditional stereotypes and stigmas that surrounded tattoos have been swept away and women have the confidence to wear their tattoos with pride. Tattooing is increasingly getting popular among women as more and more female celebrities flaunt their body accessories in the form of tattoos.

The rose is one of the most popular among flower tattoos, along with baby’s breath, which means pure heart, the buttercup and it’s symbol of riches, the carnation and it’s meaning of love. The role of women in ancient tribal cultures, contributed to the popularity of tribal tattoos designs, featuring feminine symbols, representations and energies not seen before, except when tribal art was originated. The women today, are flourishing in this expression of art as never before seen. Through the art of Tattoos.

The next step of getting a tattoo is in the design selection. Finding the right design is a matter of finding the right resource. Please visit me for more on women and Tattoos at my blog: http://women-tattoos.blogspot.com

Pain of Getting a Foot Tattoo

Saturday, March 8th, 2008

There is a certain degree of toughness required for having a tattoo and especially a foot tattoo. Now that doesn’t mean a person needs to be a tough guy/gal to sport a tattoo. Pretty much any type of person can have a tattoo and it sometimes seems as if every type of person does sport a tattoo these days. But the “toughness” in question refers to the ability to stand the pain of the needle when the tattoo artist is performing his creative stuff! Of course, the level of pain that one will feel will often be relative to the area of the body that gets the tattoo. Some areas are obviously going to be more painful than others – that’s why you don’t often see tattoos inside a person’s mouth! Keep in mind, the operative word here is “often.” Yes, there are certain people that can stand the pain and have a lip tattoo performed (but I’m not one of them!).

Let’s Consider A Foot Tattoo Session

One area that is often considered a painful area to get tattooed is the foot. However, there are quite a number of people who do have a foot tattoo and because of this it would be safe to say that having a foot tattoo is probably not as painful as some people have led others to believe. There’s an element of ‘bravado’ at work here! More than likely it is those people who do not have a foot tattoo that are negative on the subject and this negativity may come from hearsay as opposed to definitive knowledge on the actual subject. As such, it is always best to listen to those who have more intimate knowledge on the subject that is based on first hand experience. Of course, such people may often be ideologues of sorts and may often downplay the pain factor. Because of this, one has to make a judgment call on whether or not undergoing a foot tattoo session is worth it.

To a certain extent, the fact that a foot tattoo involves inking close to the bone of the foot or, worse, the Achilles tendon, would lead one to believe that a person getting such a tattoo would need a higher degree of pain tolerance. However, while such a tattoo session may prove painful, it is not torture! In other words, it couldn’t possibly hurt as much as the rumors would indicate. Still, if you are unsure of going through with it then it would be best to talk to someone who has had it done, if for no other reason than to clarify the situation.

Good luck ;-)
